In my life a few times I've gotten kinda obsessed with being good at something. Examples would be basketball poker and most recently pool. These things done with close friends until I got obsessed with studying and practicing them until it's wasn't fun for my friends to play with me because unlike me most of friends have love and family life and don't have the time of desire to be as good at stuff because their lives are more diverse and fulfilling. I end up not isolated by the dictionary definitions of isolated but definitely isolated from people who I care about and maybe more importantly care about me.
